Back and joint pain

Back and Joint Pain Treatment That Finds the Cause

Pain that keeps coming back usually has a reason nobody has measured. We test how you move and where you’re weak, treat what we find one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and build the strength that keeps it from returning.

What we help with

If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

  • Low back pain and sciatica
  • Herniated and bulging discs
  • Neck pain and stiffness
  • Shoulder pain
  • Hip pain
  • Knee pain
  • Pain that flares every time you train

How it works

Test. Rebuild. Optimize.

  1. Test

A full movement and strength assessment, with force plate testing when it helps. You leave the first visit knowing why it hurts, not just where.

  2. Rebuild

Hands-on treatment and exercise we coach you through, in unhurried one-on-one sessions. No visit caps, no being handed off between patients.

  3. Optimize

Your home program lives in an app with video demos and progress tracking, so you keep getting stronger between visits and after you’re done.

★★★★★

“After six weeks of working with Jay I went from consistent severe low back pain on any movement to pain-free. Coming from an athletic background I’ve always struggled finding value in physical therapy after my experience with athletic trainers in college. Jay put together a comprehensive plan to get me back to better.”

“Back in 2016 I herniated discs in my back. Here I am 9 years later doing everything I did before. I did not have surgery. I saw Jay. Jay taught me how to manage symptoms, should they return. I learned how important it is to be strong but also mobile and flexible.”

“Jay finally fixed the shoulder pain that I was dealing with for years! He asked questions and put me through a lot of movement assessments to understand the root cause and come up with a treatment plan. After meeting in person, he prescribed exercises to do through a very user friendly app. There were video demonstrations and a way to track weight and reps which was motivating to see progress.”

“I have struggled with knee pain for nearly two years, and was fairly resigned to that being my “new normal.” Orthopedic surgeons said that I would just need to deal with the pain until it got bad enough to have a knee replacement. Jay and Adam totally changed that course for me. My knee feels great, pain free and strong, and I am educated on what to do if it flares up! Worth every penny!!”

Questions

Common questions

Pricing and insurance
Do I need a referral from a doctor?

No. Oregon lets you see a physical therapist directly, without a physician’s referral. If we find something that needs a physician’s attention, we’ll tell you and help you get to the right person.

Will I just get a sheet of exercises?

No. Every visit is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and combines hands-on treatment with exercise we coach you through. Your home program lives in an app with video demos, so you know exactly what to do between visits.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what we find. After your evaluation we’ll give you an honest estimate. Because we don’t bill insurance, your plan isn’t capped at an arbitrary number of visits or cut short when an authorization runs out.

Find out what’s actually going on.

Tell us what’s going on in a free 15-minute call with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We’ll tell you honestly whether we’re a fit and what the next step is.
