ACL and post-surgical rehab

ACL and Post-Surgical Rehab, Measured Every Step

Getting cleared and being ready aren’t the same thing. We rebuild strength and control one-on-one after ACL injury or surgery, and we use force plate and strength testing to show when you’re actually ready, not just when the calendar says so.

What we help with

If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

Evidence shows that ACL injuries experience re-injury at a 30% rate, however re-injury risk can be significantly minimized with detection of strength deficits, movement asymmetries, and poor mechanics.

  • ACL reconstruction
  • Meniscus and other knee surgery
  • Shoulder and hip surgery
  • Recovery after spine surgery
  • Fractures and breaks
  • Return-to-sport testing

How it works

Test. Rebuild. Optimize.

  1. Test

Force plate and strength testing measure side-to-side differences in strength and landing mechanics. We retest as you progress, so decisions are based on numbers.

  2. Rebuild

One-on-one sessions that progress from restoring motion to strength, power and sport-specific work, at the pace your testing supports.

  3. Optimize

An ACL Longevity Test and a training plan to keep the strength you built, so the joint holds up season after season.

“During my ACL recovery, Adam was my saving grace. … Adam is meticulous and pays close attention to help you get back to 100%. He took the time to explain to me exactly what was going on at each phase and was beyond encouraging and supportive. I can not recommend Adam enough!”

“Experiencing a full knee reconstruction and expecting to miss another season of lacrosse we were hopeful but had no idea what was in store. He was able to actually return to the field with confidence and earned top rankings in conference and state - the progress is amazing. The program and work pay off!! Our son is the proof.”

“I had to have 2 L4-5 microdecompressions in 2020 and 2021. … We started our zoom PT meetings at my 2 week post-op. We talked about my goals and how to get back to that safely. … BEST experience hands down!!!”

“I had back surgery in April and honestly wasn’t sure what my golf game would look like afterward. Jay is the reason I’m not just back on the course, but playing better than I expected, walking all 18 holes with no cart. He didn’t hand me a generic stretching routine. He built a program around what golf actually demands: rotation through the hips and thoracic spine, the load on my back through the swing.”

Questions

Common questions

Pricing and insurance
When can I return to sport after ACL surgery?

When your testing says you’re ready. We compare your surgical side to your other side for strength and landing mechanics, and we use those numbers, along with your surgeon’s guidance, to decide when you go back.

Can I start with you right after surgery?

Yes. We follow your surgeon’s protocol and can start as soon as you’re cleared for physical therapy, in person or virtually.

I already finished PT. Is testing still worth it?

Often, yes. Strength and mechanics differences between sides can remain after discharge. An ACL Longevity Test shows where you stand and gives you a plan to close the gap.
